For everyone (like me) who can’t see Star Wars yet

You must wait to see The Force Awakens. This is the post you’re looking for.

Or: The one with a bunch of awesome stuff related to the original and prequel trilogies.

I have to wait to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but I want to keep my enthusiasm for it up while avoiding spoilers. So I found all these instead, and decided to share.

BAD LIP READINGS!

Star Wars, where Han is the BEST

“I bought  a Frisbee once.”

The Empire Strikes Back, where animals still matter and Luke’s a rap master.

“Flower?!!!!”

Return of the Jedi, where it’s amazing how consistent these are.

WHAT IF
Belated Media asks “What if the prequels were GOOD?” but it does it in a loving way for the franchise, spinning a new story that acknowledges the things the prequels might have done right while also pointing out where they went so very wrong. This series began couple years ago, but I just saw them for the first time when the What If for Episode III was released this week, and I’m definitely making it a part of any Star Wars binge watch I do henceforth.

The Phantom Menace

Attack of the Clones

Revenge of the Sith

STAR WARS: THE DESPECIALIZED VERSION
This is a great little documentary about a fan-fueled effort to restore the original Original Trilogy instead of the digital mess that just keeps getting worse with every iteration.

MORE FUNNY TIMES
This post is getting heavy on the embeds, so here’s a link to a playlist of Star Wars Robot Chicken and the Family Guy parodies. And I don’t have time to link these just yet (check back tomorrow), but if you want to brave Youtube yourself, there are pretty funny Honest Trailers and Everything Wrong Withs for the saga.

So, there you have it. For those of us who have to wait on Episode VII, I hope this was a nice, spoiler-free distraction.
